Will I get a cleaning at this visit?
No — and here's why that's honest, not sneaky: the right cleaning depends on what your exam finds. The $79 covers your exam, X-rays, 3D scan, and doctor consultation. If your gums are healthy and a regular cleaning is what you need, we'll try to get it done the same day when the schedule allows — it's $129, and you approve it before we start. If your gums need more than that, we'll show you exactly why on your X-rays before anything happens.
What's the difference between a regular cleaning and a "deep cleaning"?
A regular cleaning ($129) removes plaque and tartar above the gumline — it's maintenance for healthy gums. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) treats active gum disease below the gumline — it's an actual medical treatment, usually done by quadrant with numbing. If we recommend one over the other, we'll show you the gum measurements and X-ray findings that justify it. You'll see the "why," not just hear it.
Do you take my insurance?
We're technically out-of-network, but for most plans that changes less than you'd think: we file your insurance claims for you and accept assignment of benefits — meaning your insurance pays us directly and you only cover the difference. What happens after I book online?
Your booking is a request for that time slot. You'll get a link to complete your medical and dental history forms in our secure patient portal, and Britt from our front desk will call or text to confirm your appointment. Can't get to the forms online? No problem — arrive about 15 minutes early and we'll hand you an iPad. And if you call after hours, our AI receptionist answers and can help with general questions.
What if the exam finds I need more work?
Then you'll get a clear, written plan with exact pricing before anything happens. Payment plans are available. No pressure, no surprises — you decide.
I haven't been to a dentist in years. Will I get lectured?
Never. Most of our favorite patients started exactly where you are. We're just glad you're here.
